I enjoyed Williamson’s answers. I don’t care about her language so much as I care about her policies. Her policies sound better than almost everyone else’s on that stage. Except she doesn’t support Medicare for All.
I’ve read and listened to her explanation why she doesn’t support M4A, and it doesn’t add up. She said she wants people to have a choice. What choice would that be? The choice to “not be covered?” That is the point of M4A, everyone is covered — because when a medical emergency strikes, noone says, “Oh, I paid for some coverage, but I opted out of that one. I’ll just go die quietly and at no cost to anyone else.”
