I enjoyed the story and your writing even if the meta story got a bit jumbled (IMHO). I've had multiple rather distinct phases of my not so short life and in two of them I was around wealthy people (longer story there). Yes, wealth is very relative, and it is very true that the wealthier you get, the more you get for "free." But "free" is also relative and invites a longer post on what that all entails. I keep planning to write one of those...
