"Lost" is rather relevant, since they are still there. Hamas, according to the previous US Secretary of State Blinken, is roughly the same size and strength as on 7 October 2023.

Israel has also paid a huge price in world public opinion. Genocide is something that doesn't get forgotten any time soon.

The advantage and disadvantage for Israel is that they are a regular armed force and Hamas is a guerilla force. Advantage Israel is of course militarily. Hamas has no tanks, planes, or boats. The disadvantage for Israel is that to win they have to eliminate Hamas. For Hamas to win all they have to do is survive. There the victory is clearly on Hamas' side.
