I can read a map. I can see the area Russia controls slowly increasing meaning the area Ukraine controls is decreasing.

More importantly, since the end of 2022 Russian losses in men and equipment has been on an average downward trend, while Ukraine's has been (sadly) on a steady or upward trend. This at the same time as Russia has been destroying Ukraine's electrical infrastructure (most of their trains ran on electricity pre-invasion).

This is a war of attrition since the end of 2022, and Ukraine + the West does not have the means to beat Russia in Ukraine without full-scale NATO involvement. In that situation (as I noted last comment) we don't know who would join Russia in WWIII. That is a nightmare scenario that fortunately the West has (until now) stayed away from.
