I am 90% low-brow when it comes to films. I have childhood trauma-induced anger issues, so I box. My day job involves nonlinear mathematical optimization, so I (usually) don't want to think much while watching films. I leave deep thinking to books when I can stop and reflect without disturbing my fellow viewers.
Action thrillers are great for not having to think much. That being said, I do like to stop now and then to analyze physics, "Could a blunt object really go through that many bodies in that manner? Let's watch that again."
