Guilt by association much? Stalin died in 1953. Using your guilt by association logic, we should be blaming the 100,000s of thousands of dead and displaced Ukrainians at the feet of Angela Merkel since she not only grew up in Soviet East Germany but also as the Chancellor of the reunified Germany has a direct line back to Nazi Germany. Merkel has said that she never intended to implement the Minsk II agreements that would have kept Ukraine whole, but instead wanted to use the time bought from the Minsk II signing to give Ukraine time to prepare for their war against Russia.

I think tarring Putin with Stalin's crimes is far more ludicrous than blaming Merkel for hundred of thousands of dead Ukrainians, while noting that her "formerly Nazi Germany" wrote the book on modern genocide.
