Great story. I hope it brought some closure for you!

My wife told me her "#MeToo" story a long time before #MeToo was a hashtag. She eventualy made a YouTube video about it (see below). When I heard Blasey Ford's testimony, that "not remembering" detail is something that clicked for me with her story (and my own one time when I was really, really drunk). Since then I've done a lot of reading on the subject.

The "not remembering every detail" to completely nail some douche bag like Kavanaugh made Blasey Ford MORE believable, because that is how it is with trauma.
