Great article. My mom doesn't yell, it is (was) a different kind of abuse. Unfortunately for me, it was a more sinister psychological abuse that took a failed marriage and a LOT of therapy to get over.

I still have the last last texts to/from my ex-wife where she threatened and then demanded answers. My last text to her was (translated), "The time when I answer a question posed in such a manner is over." Apparently she believed me, as she has never called or written since (that does not include her lawyer).

I learned a lot from that experience and have used it as a template since then.
