Except that in terms of energy, Russia was (and is) a very dependable business partner. The truth is that Russia and Germany were mutually dependent, and this is what the US (Biden, Trump, Rice, etc.) have all stated was against US interests. Ending NS I and II was in the US interests, not Germany's.
