Disagree on this one. Extensive sciense has informed me that a sedentary office job is not how my body was designed to be used. If I sit at a desk for decades I won't need many muscles, that is true. It is also true that I can expect a host of resulting physical ailments as I age.

I work out so that I don't slip a disk or get a hernia when I need to move a couch or lift a dishwasher, and don't need a week to recover from raking leaves. That I look like a Greek god is just a bonus. ;-)

As for the guys who take steroids to build a "armour of muscle," a huge percentage had childhood traumas of bullying and/or abuse... *cough* Schwarzenegger *cough*.
