Danny Glover is so sympatico that no matter what he's in, I grade the film on a Glover-curve.

I loved Predator, and like Predator 2 for all the reasons you list, and disliked exactly the "Warriors in LA" vibe of Gangs, Gangs, Gangs. All that was missing was a Welfare Queen driving a Cadillac with kids stuffed in the backseat with steaks to justify Reagan's fever dream of "Morning in America."
