Cruelty aside, it is not phishing if it comes from your own fucking employer. More like, "This is a test to see if you're so gullible as to believe we're actually giving you peasants a bonus."

I'd need the technical details on the differences between the email address responded to the actual godaddy email addresses, but this is not a valid test from what I read in the post.
