Chris Rock’s “Bad Apple” Cop Metaphor

Chris Rock makes a great metaphor about cops who are “bad apples” in this YouTube clip (I tried to find an official clip from him but didn’t find one).

The two main points he makes are:

1. “Bad apple” is a really nice euphamism for “murderer,” and
2. Some jobs you just can’t afford to have “bad apples.”

This second one is the one that mostly gets overlooked in the MSM. Reports of “violence on both sides” overlooks that one side, the Police, are supposed to be hired and trained NOT to react with violence. We allow police to have weapons and rights to arrest people with the explicit understanding that they will NOT lose control, and if they do, they are done as cops.
