For you and anyone who reads this, maybe give a second thought next time you hear someone say, “socialism is bad.” I’m a US ex-pat who worked in the US, and was even a partner in a US business while running my own business here in Vienna, Austria (25+ years).

In Vienna we are on lock-down for going on a month. But the government stepped in immediately. The smallest businesses who could show they lost more than 50% of revenue got a quick € 1000 check. A fund for small businesses was set up immediately. A subsidies program was set up to pay 75% of IT costs for transferring your workers to “work at home” if possible. Etc. etc. This is what you get with social democracy. More emphasis on the average person and small businesses.

I know this won’t help you now. I’m sorry for what you’re going through, and again I wish you luck in pulling through this. First and foremost I wish you good health no matter how things turn out with your business.
