Apropos scapegoat...Trump is a racist, sexist asshole. Lazy and none too bright to boot. How bad do things in the US have to be for that guy to win the White House?

How bad do things in the US have to be for so many people to say, "Yeah, I know how bad Trump is, but we have got to change something." Biden said that nothing fundamental would change during his presidency. So far that is the only really important campaign promise he has kept.

Trump is not the problem. Trump is a symptom of the problems in the US. We can just be happy that Trump is lazy and stupid. A guy with a bit more brains and ambition would have used Covid to actually take power. We won't be so lucky if a guy like Tom Cotton ever gets to the White House.
