Apparently you didn't read my entire comment. Your 2nd paragraph is moot.

Ukraine joining NATO means the end of the world. Russia has said that is a red line it will not accept being crossed.

Like it or not, nuclear weapons exist, and Russia has 6000 of them.

We do not get to dictate rules to a country with 6000 nuclear weapons. That is how the world works.

From 1945 until 1991, people understood this. It is called "detente." It would be good if you all relearned that word before you get us all killed.
