Amazing what those engineers 40+ years ago designed and sent out. It is a shame that the US has become so anti-science and anti-government that we haven't had new Voyagers being launched every decade or so. We should be taking what we've learned from each interation and incorporating those lessons into newer designs. We'd be learning so much more!

Like with the "space race" of the 50s and 60s, we could expect lots of earthbound applications for these extraterrestrial discoveries.
