Accepting that you can be fooled by someone you trust is a very hard pill to swallow. Accepting that someone you loved (including a country you identify with), is and has been manipulating you to your own detriment, using you for their benefit and not yours, is a VERY hard pill to swallow.

There is a reason The Matrix was such a hit and still resonates 20+ years later.
