A long time ago now, a friend said to me, "You're doing great Jack. I'm wondering how you're going to do when the next flat is NOT bigger." It wasn't too long before I found out.

Let me be clear I know that I'm very privileged, but not "making 7 figures a year" privileged.

Since then I've made sure to live below my means all the time, and constantly invest the difference in long-term investments.

I'm still ambitious, but I concentrate on appreciating what I have instead of concentrating on what I don't have yet.
